Soynuts are whole, roasted soybeans -- that is the reason they are more "potent" than other soyfoods. When certain soyfoods are processed, some of the natural health benefits are reduced. But with Super Soynuts, you get the entire soybean.

The soybean has been called "health insurance in a pod" for good reason. Research has shown that soy may prevent:

Heart Disease. Soybeans can lower "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and maintain "good" cholesterol (HDL) to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke. High cholesterol is a major factor in heart attacks and heart disease, the number one killer of both men and women. Soybeans contain high levels of phytosterols, which resemble “good" cholesterol and combat "bad" cholesterol.

Cancer. Soy contains two powerful anticarcinogens -- genestein and isoflavones. Hormone-related cancers such as breast, prostate, uterine and ovarian are uncommon in Asian cultures where soybeans are a staple in their diets.

Osteoporosis. Isoflavones and calcium in soy can slow the weakening and deterioration of your bones as you age.

Menopausal Symptoms. Soyfoods can relieve the negative effects of menopause, such as hot flashes. Phytoestrogens in soy can act like hormone replacement therapy to prevent or reduce these unpleasant symptoms.

Prostate Problems. Benign prosatic hyperplasia (BPH), or enlarged prostate, can be controlled through a diet rich in soyfoods.

Soy also contains many vitamins and minerals, such as folic acid, iron and calcium. Among soy’s other natural strengths are:

Protein Power. Soybeans are the only vegetable that contains complete protein with all eight amino acids. Almost 40% of the calories in soy are derived from protein. The quality of soy protein is very high -- comparable to protein found in meat, milk and eggs. However, unlike many other good sources of protein, soybeans are cholesterol-free and very low in saturated fat.

Soluble fiber. Not only does it help maintain digestive tract health, soluble fiber also plays a big part in keeping the circulatory system "clean," reducing the risk of heart disease.

Vitamin E. Abundant in soybeans, it has been studied since the 1940s and can help reduce the chances of everything from acne to gallstones to heart disease.

Vitamin B6. Also found in meat, fish and poultry, it promotes metabolism and energy release and also ensures proper function of red blood cells and the nervous system.

Our best advice is: Do your own research, AND talk with your doctor! The health benefits of soy are regularly in the news. You'll find an abundance of reliable data -- newspaper articles, medical journals, and studies performed by your local hospitals and universities. Be sure to discuss any personal health considerations with your own doctor. We're confident you will determine that you need soy in your diet - and we hope you will agree that Super Soynuts are one of the tastiest soyfoods available.
